We were heading from my parents' home to the wedding of Anna Castleberry, our children's minister. Since we all were spiffy, I wanted a family picture.

Piling up
Life is piling up like dirty dishes right now. I'm too busy to deal with some things and I keep expecting to fall over.
I really need more margins around our calendar... that's the goal for 2016!

Light up the night
For YEARS, our kids have begged us every December to get lights to put up outside. For YEARS, I have not been interested. Now that our neighborhood is filling in and nearly everyone DOES have lights up for Christmas, our house seems to be a but scroogy without lights. Today, the kids and I got some lights and put them up. We intentionally picked lights we could hang without Allen having to get involved since we wanted to surprise him.
Now, we are sharing the light in the night and the kids are really happy with it!

Christmas List?
Mama: Jon, I really want to see what you want for Christmas. Would you please put your list on the fridge?
Jon: No need to, Mom. My list is short.
Mama: Really?
Jon: Yep! (bursting into song) All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth! (BIG SMILE!)
Mama: Uh... you already have them...
Jon: Oh, yeah. Well, in that case, it's a shorter list. (bursting into song - again) I WANT A HIPPOPOTAMUS FOR CHRISTMAS! (HUGE GRIN!!! he knows he is funny) ONLY A HIPPOPOTAMUS WILL DO!!!

Second Child Singing
Ben was part of a musical for Venture. He was in choir, and he usually had a look on his face like he was going to pass out or throw up. We finally got a few more animated faces, but then he wouldn't stop being silly. Tonight's experience will definitely mean *I* am going to be praying a lot more that the church musical goes smoothly!!
