Our garden is my new favorite place to paint. One afternoon a few days ago, it was too beautiful to stay inside, but the kids wanted to do art. We took our supplies outside and I taught them how to use watercolor pencils. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon -- surrounded by my happy children (Will got tired and went inside), my favorite paints, colorful blooms, Bluebird Silas watching us from above, and a few visits from the titmice, woodpeckers, and finches.
