Nine Months of Waiting

Who knew it would take so long? This tooth has been wiggling since April last year -- nine months of looseness! Each time it seemed almost ready to come out, it would hang on and we would forget about it. Ben's adult tooth is almost all the way up behind it, so I think it stayed in so long because his tongue wasn't able to reach it to wiggle it constantly. It did finally come out this afternoon, I think it had something to do with someone running into him, but the stories change quickly when there is the slightest bit of blood. Ben came downstairs crying because he was bleeding, but once he was reminded that the tooth fairy would be visiting, he was quite excited.

This is what I get for saying, "Smile, Ben!"
