Our American Heritage Girls and Trail Life troops all went to Camp Ford's Living History event this weekend. I wandered around with the little ladies while they learned about Civil War era medicine, weapons, clothing, manners, and more -- one of our girl's grandmothers came with us dressed in a Civil War style dress. The girls were fascinated by all the layers of clothing the ladies had to wear "back then." While the girls went one way, the boys had a bit of a historical facts scavenger hunt keeping them busy and learning. It was a beautiful day to spend with our scout families and the kids all had a great time!
