Photos on the Phourth

Fourth of July for the Kaisers always means we do our annual family photo. Though we aim for the same pose each year, as the kids grow it becomes a different challenge. Some years the challenge has been getting the kids to look at the camera, other years it's been getting them to look "normal" for the photo, next year, it might be to keep my leg from hurting as Jon is getting bigger.

This year we had a pretty easy-going holiday. Allen had a long weekend. On Saturday, one of the new-hires from the refinery spent the afternoon and evening with us as she was the only one not going home for the holiday weekend. She had burgers with us, then she played board games with our family until it was time to go to the fireworks show and concert. It was a late night, but I do always love watching fireworks and hearing the Star Spangled Banner with my family!
