Today, we met Nana, Papa, and Grandma Ann and headed out to Mora, NM, to visit the Salman Ranch -- the place Allen grew up. We showed the kids the old mill, walked around the ranch a bit, and met some of the people who knew Randy, Shelley, and Ann way-back-when. Jon and Ben were busy collecting rocks, Maddie found a few wildflowers, and I got some pictures of a bird and the La Cueva church. After a last walk through the gardens, we headed down the road and stopped to see the alpaca ranch for a few minutes. We headed into Mora and found a little cafe for lunch and ice cream. After the cold, sweet treats, we loaded the cars and headed for Allen's Uncle Robert's cabin at Pecos. The kids slept the whole way, and Allen and I enjoyed the rare silence.
